ROC Service Challenge

The ROC Service Challenge involves choosing as a family (or individual) a service project that you can do quarterly (at least four times in one year). By repeating a volunteer experience, you will have the chance to become more invested and connected with the project you choose. (Make sure as a family that there are age appropriate activities available for every family member that plans to participate).

If you are trying to instill compassion and empathy in your children, be sure and focus on the need for their help and the difference help can mean to someone, rather than your desire to develop strong character in your children. Teaching your children to volunteer out of gratitude and tapping into their unique talents can also enrich the whole volunteer experience.
